About Formpost

Formpost is a form-to-email API for static and JAMstack sites: an HTML form posts to a Formpost endpoint and the submission arrives by email and in a searchable dashboard, with no server to deploy and no backend code to maintain. It is deliberately an API rather than a widget — no iframe, no injected stylesheet, no badge in the corner — so the markup and CSS stay exactly as written, and the site lists working support across HTML, React, Next.js, Vue, Nuxt, Svelte, Astro, Angular, Alpine, Hugo, Jekyll, Eleventy, Gatsby, Webflow, Framer, WordPress, PHP and Rails. The engineering choices are described openly: the submit endpoint is a small Go service that only accepts and stores the request, with email delivery and integrations happening afterwards so a slow mail provider never stalls a visitor, and file uploads go straight to Amazon S3 with the database in an AWS region. Spam handling is layered — honeypot field, hCaptcha, reCAPTCHA and Turnstile, domain locking, keyword and IP blocking, rate limiting — and above those an LLM-based AI review reads the submissions the rules let through and judges intent. Operational details are handled too: per-form custom redirects to your own thank-you page, autoresponders sent from your own DKIM-signed domain, multiple recipients, webhooks with Slack, Discord and Telegram, a submissions REST API, and CSV or JSON export. Deleting a form deletes its submissions with it.
