Screenshot Scout is a managed screenshot API that captures any URL from a single HTTP call, and its differentiator is what it removes rather than what it captures. Cookie banners, chat widgets and ads are stripped automatically before the shot is taken, with no custom scripting on the caller's side — the three things that ruin an automated screenshot of a real production website and that every DIY Puppeteer setup ends up hand-patching. Beyond that it handles the usual matrix properly: any output format (PNG, JPEG, WebP, PDF and more), full-page or selector-scoped or region captures, device emulation and custom viewports, chosen IP location, caching, and direct upload to S3-compatible storage. Two operational details make the plan limits honest and are worth knowing before comparing on price: failed renders do not count against quota, and cached repeats of the same URL with the same options do not count either — only the first successful render does. Rate limits are published per tier, from 20 to 160 requests per minute. The vendor publishes rolling 30-day reliability figures on its own homepage (99.6% API uptime, 99.2% render success, 120,000 screenshots rendered), and ships docs, SDKs, integrations and an MCP server. Dedicated pages cover website screenshots and full-page screenshots as separate jobs, and refunds are offered with no questions asked, which together suggest a vendor confident enough in render quality to make evaluation cheap.
