Forkbench is a native macOS control room for running several CLI coding agents at once, designed around a team where different people use different tools. Each agent gets its own git branch so no run clobbers another's working tree, and all of them appear on one board. The unusual part is what syncs and what does not: terminals, repositories and code never leave your Mac, and agents run on the AI subscription you already pay for — only coordination syncs. That makes it usable across a team where one person is on Claude Code and another on Codex, each keeping their own account, agents and models, with the shared artifact being the board rather than the code. The Global Team feature assembles several agents around a single goal and lets them run it as one unit: the goal becomes a live task backlog, agents claim work as they go and hand off cleanly, with the guarantee that no two ever pick up the same task. Notebooks hold reusable context and past threads that an agent pulls in with `fork ctx pull`. A Vault manages secrets locally so agents can use your keys without the plaintext entering their context — the docs call this a seatbelt rather than a guarantee, which is the honest framing. Pro adds cross-device sync, Fork Lab for answering a blocked agent from your phone or the web, and stall alerts for agents that loop overnight.
