Whisper Memos is an iPhone and Apple Watch app that records a voice memo and emails it back to you as clean, formatted text within seconds. The design decision that defines it is the delivery target: rather than building a notes app you have to open and manage, it uses email as the inbox, so a transcribed memo lands wherever you already triage — and from there flows into Notion, Trello or thousands of other destinations through standard integrations. Recording starts with a single tap on the phone, or hands-free on the Watch via a complication or the action button, which is the case the product is really built for: capturing a thought while walking, driving or otherwise unable to type. Transcripts come back with automatic paragraphing rather than an undifferentiated block, and summaries can be shaped with your own custom prompts so the output format matches how you actually use the notes — action items, meeting summaries, journal entries. An Agents feature extends this into automated handling of incoming memos. Pricing is the notable part: at $60 a year with unlimited recordings, it undercuts the comparison set the vendor publishes on its own pricing page — Granola at $168/year, Otter at $100/year and AudioPen at $99/year.
