Steadwing is an autonomous on-call engineer that takes an alert and returns a root-cause analysis with evidence instead of a dashboard link. When an incident fires it pulls context from the tools a team already has — Datadog, PagerDuty, Slack, GitHub and others — correlates logs, metrics, traces and recent code changes, and produces a single view of what broke and why, with the supporting evidence attached rather than a probabilistic guess. The stated target is root cause in under sixty seconds, against the several hours a human typically spends piecing the same picture together across a dozen browser tabs at three in the morning. Two design choices distinguish it from the alert-summarisation tools in the same category. The first is remediation: Steadwing proposes both a short-term fix and a long-term one, and can either hand them over for approval or apply them itself, so the output is an action rather than a report. The second is that incident context compounds — it retains incident history and past fixes and gets more accurate on repeat classes of failure, and you can ask follow-up questions about any past incident and get an answer grounded in that history. Integration is agentless: nothing to deploy on hosts, no code changes, connect the existing stack and it starts working.
