Codehooks.io is a serverless backend for webhooks and automations, and it defines itself against the webhook gateway category rather than against other backends. The argument is precise: Svix and Hookdeck ingest an event, transform it in flight, retry delivery and hand it to your backend — but they are not the backend, so you still need somewhere to persist the event, query it across time and act on it with your own logic. Codehooks puts that backend behind every endpoint: a queryable NoSQL database, queues with workers, cron, a key-value store, Express.js-like REST routes and static hosting, all deployed in seconds with no infrastructure to configure. It covers both directions of the webhook lifecycle — inbound, where it receives from Stripe, Shopify, GitHub or anywhere, verifies signatures, queues, retries, transforms and stores; and outbound, where it delivers to your own users with fan-out, signing, retries and delivery logs — with a real runtime and database sitting between the two. Endpoints are defined as code and deployed from a repository, so every webhook is version-controlled, and there is a studio dashboard for people who would rather click. The setup flow is explicitly designed to be driven by an AI agent: the documented Stripe end-to-end path — create project, install template, configure secrets, deploy, verify the live endpoint — is presented as something an agent can run in one conversation. Pricing is flat per month with no per-request fees or metering.
