About Telebugs

Telebugs is a self-hosted, Sentry-compatible error tracker sold once for a flat fee, and its entire argument is about scope and billing model rather than features. The observation it starts from is that error trackers grew into platforms that monitor everything, became complicated to operate and expensive to run, and lost the original point along the way. Telebugs deliberately does less: it collects, groups and notifies on errors, and stops there. The company states the smaller scope is the point, not a limitation. Because it is Sentry-compatible, it works with the Sentry SDKs already installed in your application, so adoption is a DSN change rather than an instrumentation rewrite — which is also what makes it a genuine drop-in alternative rather than a migration project. The commercial model is the differentiator: you buy the software once, install it on your own server, and error volume, project count and team size never change what you pay. There is no usage meter, no event quota, no per-project limit and no seat fee, and the practical ceiling is your own infrastructure and retention policy. The purchase includes full source code. A published walkthrough takes a fresh server to a running instance in eleven minutes. Current release is 1.20.0, from Silin Software.
