Scrappey is a web scraping API aimed at the pages that ordinary HTTP clients cannot reach: sites behind CDN protection layers, sites that only assemble their content once JavaScript has run, and sites that fingerprint the client before serving anything useful. You send it a URL and a command, and it returns the page as HTML or as LLM-ready Markdown, having handled the browser session, the proxy and the challenge on its own. The engine underneath is a full Chrome or Firefox instance rather than a header-spoofing fetch, so it supports thirty-plus browser actions — clicking, scrolling, filling forms, waiting on selectors — and can carry a browser profile across requests so that a session established on one call still exists on the next. Residential proxies are included in the price rather than billed as a separate line item, drawing on a pool the company describes as fifty million IPs across a hundred and ninety-five countries. The billing model is the unusual part and the reason it suits small projects: it is genuinely pay-as-you-go, with no monthly minimum, a balance that does not expire, and failed scrapes that are never charged. There is an AI Web Access API for structured extraction, a free bot-detector browser extension for diagnosing how hard a target will be, and a documented drop-in skill and MCP server so a coding agent can build the integration from a single prompt against the published llms-full.txt reference.
