Samata is a personal workspace for ideas, materials and plans, built on the argument that most project tools are shaped for teams and impose their overhead on people working alone. There are no roles, no permissions, no mentions and no team workflows, and the vendor states that absence plainly on its own FAQ rather than treating it as a gap to be filled later. What remains is a structure for capturing an idea, attaching the materials that belong with it, and returning to it at the right moment. The named situations are the ones a solo operator recognises: client work where chats, agreements and files scatter until an invoice goes unsent; ideas that arrive quickly and disappear just as fast for want of anywhere to put them; and projects whose tasks, notes and materials live in three tools that must be searched separately. The comparisons the site draws are useful and honest — against Notion it claims less setup and no template design, against Obsidian it claims no plugins or configuration files, and it says outright who the tool is not for, namely large teams and people who want to configure everything.
