Safe Screen Share is a browser extension that hides sensitive information on the page before you share your screen, and it runs entirely on the device — the vendor is explicit that nothing is recorded, read or transmitted. Six mechanisms cover the ways things leak during a demo or a recording. One-click blur hides any element you click, a row, a div or a block of text, and clicking again restores it. Area blur draws a movable, resizable rectangle over a chart or a corner. Text blur selects a word or a sentence and blurs only that range rather than the whole element. Tab-title hiding redacts every tab title and favicon in one click, including the tabs you are not sharing, which is the leak most people forget. Blur intensity dials from a subtle fade to fully opaque. Blur profiles save named setups — demo mode, streaming, client calls — and switch between them in one click. On top of those sits SmartBlur, which scans the page unprompted for emails, phone numbers, credit card numbers, SSNs and API keys and hides them before you notice they were visible, plus a Meeting Mode that engages protection automatically during calls. It works in Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera, Arc and Vivaldi, alongside Zoom, Meet, Teams, Loom and OBS.
