Promptmetheus is a prompt-engineering IDE that treats a prompt as a composed artefact rather than a string. Prompts break into LEGO-like blocks — context, task, instructions, samples or shots, and primer — and you can hold multiple variations of each section and systematically test combinations, which turns prompt tuning into something closer to parameter sweeping than trial and error. Variables defined at project or prompt level keep recurring details consistent across a library. Testing is the other half: datasets drive rapid iteration against dynamic context that simulates user input or retrieved content, custom evaluators automatically validate each completion against constraints you specify, and completion ratings roll up into visual statistics broken down by model and by variant. Because agent reliability compounds — an error early in a prompt chain corrupts everything downstream — the product's stated purpose is optimising each link in a chain individually rather than only the final output. It reaches 15 providers and more than 150 models, including the option to configure your own endpoint, with per-model parameter tuning and cost estimation before you spend. Full versioning and changelogs give traceability over every change. Team accounts add shared workspaces with real-time collaboration and a shared prompt library. Inference is bring-your-own-key; subscriptions do not include a model budget.
