Parliant.AI replaces the rigid survey form with an AI-conducted conversation, on the argument that the reason open-ended survey questions return one-word answers is that nobody wants to type an essay into a text box with no interlocutor. The AI opens with a question, reads the answer, and asks a relevant follow-up — the transcript on the vendor's own homepage shows it pushing from a general reason for choosing a product to the specific customer insight the respondent was actually after. Respondents can type or speak their answers, which materially raises completion on mobile. For the researcher, creation is inverted too: rather than designing a form and phrasing perfect questions, you tell the AI what insight you need and it builds the conversation flow, which turns survey design from an hour of work into minutes. The analysis side is where conversational surveys usually fall down, because free-text at volume needs manual coding to be usable; Parliant automatically categorises responses and identifies themes, and runs a live insight-level score on each response with a plain-English critique of what would make the answer more useful — surfacing thin responses before they contaminate the dataset. The free tier is genuinely usable for a small study at three surveys and a hundred responses a month, and the paid tier lifts surveys to unlimited with a thousand responses.
