About Magic CSV
Magic CSV is a spreadsheet-cleanup tool built around the observation that the hard part of a CSV is never the format, it is the human inconsistency inside it. You upload a CSV or Excel file and describe the transformation in plain English — split full_name into first_name and last_name, split a single address column into street, city, state and zip, format every phone number as (XXX) XXX-XXXX — and it returns import-ready data with a preview before export. No formulas, no regular expressions, no scripts. The product is deliberately split into two halves with different economics. A set of free, no-signup browser tools handles the deterministic jobs: remove duplicates with a choice of which columns define a duplicate, remove empty rows, delete columns, merge columns with a chosen separator, split a column on any delimiter, and trim leading, trailing and repeated whitespace. Those run entirely client-side and the file never leaves the browser. The AI app handles the judgement calls — messy addresses, fuzzy dedupe, plain-English instruction following — and that is the only part that consumes tokens. The marketing site names the sources it is built for: Salesforce, HubSpot, QuickBooks, Shopify, Google Sheets, Excel, Airtable and Notion exports. There is an interactive demo on the homepage that gives you three tries on a deliberately messy sample table before you sign up.
