Hostim.dev is a Docker hosting platform running on the operator's own bare-metal machines in Germany rather than on a hyperscaler, aimed at freelancers and small agencies who ship other people's projects. Deployment accepts a Docker image, a Git repository or a Compose file, and what usually arrives as a separate bill arrives wired in: managed Postgres, MySQL and Redis plus persistent volumes, with connection details injected into the app automatically. Every project is isolated, HTTPS certificates are issued automatically, and live logs and basic metrics come by default. CPU and RAM are resized from the dashboard without downtime. The positioning is explicitly against big cloud and US PaaS on four axes the target customer feels — flat prices that can be quoted to a client up front, one project per client for clean cost attribution and clean handover, EU data residency under GDPR, and no Kubernetes to learn or maintain. Billing is hourly with a one-hour minimum and no usage-based surprises: no per-request, per-build-minute or bandwidth-overage charges. A five-day trial runs without a card, students get credits, and the platform reports 650+ apps deployed, 290+ developers and 170+ services running since going into production in October 2025, with a 5.0 Trustpilot rating across six reviews.
