Hitoku Draft is a dictation and AI-editing utility for Apple Silicon Macs that runs every model locally and sells that as its whole proposition. Press a global hotkey in any text field — Mail, Slack, VS Code, Notes, Word, Notion, Safari, Telegram, a browser text area — speak, and clean text appears where the cursor was. The speech-to-text runs on the Neural Engine and GPU in parallel rather than round-tripping to a server, which is both a privacy property and a latency one: there is no upload, no queue and no dependency on a connection. It also reads the screen for context, so an edit instruction can refer to what is visible rather than needing the text pasted in. Beyond live dictation it transcribes dropped audio and video files entirely on device, and the transcript can then be refined by voice.
