About Forminit

Forminit, formerly Getform.io and running since 2015, is a headless form backend: you point an existing HTML form at an endpoint and it collects the submission, validates the fields, blocks the spam, stores any uploaded files and sends the notification, so nothing server-side has to be written or maintained. It is stack-agnostic by design, with documented paths for static sites and client-side apps (plain HTML, Astro, Webflow, Carrd, Framer, Wix, WordPress front ends), for AI-generated and no-code builds (Lovable, Replit, Bolt, Trickle), and for server-side applications (Next.js, Nuxt, Node, Cloudflare Workers, PHP, Python with Flask, Django or FastAPI, Ruby and serverless functions), plus Zapier, Make, n8n and raw webhooks. The detail that makes it current rather than merely long-lived is that the documentation is written to be pasted into a coding assistant — there is a published SKILL.md per integration and an example prompt shape, so telling ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, Lovable, Bolt, v0, Replit, Windsurf or Copilot to wire a form to a given form ID produces working code in one pass. For Next.js there is an npm package with a createForminitProxy route helper that keeps the API key on the server rather than in the bundle. Spam protection includes Cloudflare Turnstile, and paid tiers add webhooks, a REST API, Slack, Discord and Google Sheets delivery, CSV export, autoresponders, workspaces, custom email senders and form analytics with UTM and ad-click attribution.
