About EuroRAG

EuroRAG is a self-hosted RAG chatbot boilerplate sold under a perpetual licence, aimed squarely at European agencies and internal teams who have to answer the question "where does our data go?" with something more durable than a vendor's template DPA. Every component runs on your own server — inference, vectors, database and files — and nothing leaves the VPS unless you explicitly configure it to. A Strict EU mode is enabled by default and blocks non-compliant providers before data is sent, with per-provider data residency tracking, and Mistral, Scaleway, OVHcloud or a local Ollama model can serve as the LLM. GDPR compliance is architectural rather than procedural: deletion cascades across the database, vector store, search index and disk. The stack is deliberately Python end to end — FastAPI with Jinja2 templates and HTMX for interactivity, ChromaDB or pgvector for vectors, BM25 plus vector hybrid search, and Docling with a Redis worker queue for ingestion — so a team that knows Python can modify any page without hiring a front-end developer, and there is no npm install, webpack or build step. It is sold as a starting point rather than a finished app: your changes live in a custom/ directory that core updates never touch, so you can add routes, override templates and swap services without fighting the upgrade path. One docker compose up starts five containers on any EU VPS with Docker, which the vendor benchmarks at a €7/mo Hetzner CX22.
