CustomJS is the code escape hatch for no-code automation platforms: it lets you run real Node.js — with full NPM package support — inside Make.com and n8n scenarios, or call it as a plain HTTP API from anything else. That solves the recurring wall in visual workflow builders, where the platform covers ninety percent of a job and the last ten percent needs a loop, a transform or a library that no module exposes. Around the JavaScript execution sits a toolkit of the things automation workflows keep needing and no-code tools handle badly: HTML-to-PDF generation for invoices and reports, full-page screenshot capture, a web scraper API returning structured data, static hosting for executable and AI-generated HTML pages, a drag-and-drop form builder plus headless form backends, and a mail hook that forwards incoming email to any webhook. An MCP server exposes every one of those tools to AI agents, which makes the same primitives usable from Claude or Cursor rather than only from a scenario canvas. Worked examples on the site include generating invoice PDFs from the Airtable API without a paid Airtable plan by templating record data through Nunjucks. The vendor also ships Watchflow, a separate monitor that alerts when n8n and Make workflows stop running. Pricing is transparent and request-metered, with each JS execution or PDF render counting as one request.
