Crosstab is a Chrome extension that turns any web page you are already looking at into a structured dataset, without writing a selector or a scraper. You describe the dataset you want in natural language — both the fields and the shape you want them in — and the extension extracts it from the current page, follows pagination to pull the same structure across multiple pages, and exports to CSV or straight to the clipboard. A second mode, Search, works the other way round: it takes an existing list of rows and enriches each one by running an automated search on whatever platform you are on, with the model picking the most relevant result per row, and it runs in the background so a few hundred lookups do not hold up the browser. There is a one-click handoff to ChatGPT, Claude or Grok that formats the extracted data for the model, so an extract-then-analyse loop stays inside the browser. Because it runs as an extension against the rendered page in your own authenticated session, it reaches data that a server-side scraper cannot — anything behind a login you already hold — which is the practical reason to choose it over a crawling API. The vendor publishes SOC 2, HIPAA and GDPR compliance claims for authentication, states zero data retention of page content on its servers, and encrypts data in transit.
