The built-in Moat AI agent takes a plain instruction like 'make this a punchy TikTok', reads your footage at word level, plans a multi-step edit, self-corrects, and narrates each step as it cuts dead air, writes captions, and grades color, while leaving anything you did not ask about untouched. Auto-Cut handles the heavy lifting on long footage, watching hours of raw video, finding the good takes, killing dead air, and stitching a story — their example compresses three hours into eleven minutes in about fourteen seconds — with every cut still editable afterward. The third mode is the interesting one: the editor is itself an MCP server, so Claude Code, Cursor, or your own agents can drive it end to end over Model Context Protocol, importing footage, running 65+ timeline commands covering captions, keyframes, and effects, viewing the frames they produced as returned images, and rendering finished MP4s with no browser and no clicks. There is also a Telegram and WhatsApp bot: send a clip with a caption like 'cut the silence and add captions' and the same agent returns a finished video in the chat, sharing the same plan and credits as the web editor. One edit reframes and re-hooks for TikTok, Reels, YouTube, and Shorts, with 33+ effects and filters including green screen.
