About Trueguard

Trueguard is a fraud-prevention layer for signup and free-tier abuse, aimed at the specific problem of a SaaS whose trial or free plan is being farmed by repeat accounts. A JavaScript snippet on the front end generates a durable browser identifier designed to survive cookie clears, incognito windows and VPN or proxy use, and a backend API call returns risk and bot scores for that visitor. The signals combined into those scores are enumerated rather than hand-waved: email intelligence flagging disposable and low-quality addresses, network analysis detecting VPNs, proxies and suspicious IP clusters, geolocation for unusual signup regions, device fingerprinting to spot multiple accounts on one device and scripted bot fleets, and behavioural bot detection intended to block automation while leaving genuine traffic alone. A rules engine sits on top so teams can encode their own policy — block or flag automatically against conditions specific to their product — rather than accepting a vendor's default threshold. Dashboards update in real time with alerts. An email verification API is also sold standalone for teams that only need that piece, and free public utilities for VPN and proxy checking, IP location and email validation sit outside the plan structure. Integration is deliberately small: a snippet plus one backend call.
