Templated is a rendering API for automated image, video and PDF generation, aimed at the recurring engineering problem of producing thousands of on-brand assets from data — open-graph images per blog post, personalised ad creatives per segment, certificates, invoices, social cards, product videos. You design a template once in a real-time drag-and-drop canvas editor, or generate one with AI from a prompt, or import a design, then call a single POST /v1/render endpoint with the template ID and a layers object overriding text, colours and image URLs. The response is a finished PNG, JPG, WebP, MP4 or PDF, with the marketing citing sub-two-second render times. Because the interface is an API with no-code integration options alongside it, the same template serves an automation platform, a backend job and a marketing operator without three separate toolchains. Credit accounting is published plainly rather than hidden — one credit per image, one per PDF page, and video credits computed from resolution, frame rate and duration, with the page giving a worked example of a 1080p 30fps 10-second clip at roughly 13 credits. A free trial with 50 credits runs without a credit card. Designs can be imported rather than rebuilt, templates are organised with folders and tags, and custom plus Google Fonts are supported so brand typography survives the automation.
