Synra is a managed MCP server for relational databases: it gives an AI agent such as Claude one secure URL to a PostgreSQL, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Neon or Supabase database, in place of the usual local MCP setup. The problem it targets is real and mundane rather than conceptual — a self-hosted database MCP server means JSON config files, .env files and connection credentials scattered across every machine a developer works from, repeated for the laptop, the desktop and each teammate, and re-done whenever a credential rotates. Synra centralises that into one hosted endpoint. The security default is the right one: connections are read-only unless changed, which is the setting that makes it safe to point an agent at a production replica, and the vendor foregrounds it rather than burying it in documentation. Per-connection and per-day request limits are published at each tier, along with query logging on the paid plans, so an operator can see what the agent actually ran. Every tier carries a seven-day free trial with no charge until the trial ends. Pricing includes an annual option at a stated discount against the equivalent monthly plan, and tiers differ by database connections and daily request volume rather than by feature gating.
