Sourcely finds academic sources for text you have already written. You paste an essay, a paper or a draft paragraph, and it searches over 200 million research papers for credible sources that actually support what you said, summarises each one factually, and exports the citations. That inversion — text first, sources second — is the useful bit and the thing Google Scholar cannot do: Scholar wants a query, whereas Sourcely takes prose and works out what needs backing. Beyond retrieval it does two things that address the real risk in AI-assisted research. Source credibility checks are a separately metered feature, so you can test whether a returned paper is something you should actually cite rather than assuming a search result is authoritative. And a chat-with-sources mode lets you interrogate the papers it found instead of only reading summaries. Sources save to a library and export as citations, and paid plans are ad-free with priority support. The company reports more than 100,000 users. Two paid tiers separate on model quality and volume: the lower one gives 30 deep searches and 100 credibility checks a month with a smarter model, and the upper gives 1,000 of each with the most advanced models. Annual billing carries a large discount, and payment runs through Stripe. There is no free tier on the pricing page.
