Snapshot Site is a screenshot API with two things bolted onto it that most screenshot APIs do not have: a visual diff endpoint and an AI page-analysis pass. The core job is the familiar one — send a URL, get back a full-page, high-resolution capture rendered in a real browser rather than a stripped-down HTML renderer, so pages that depend on scroll position, lazy loading, web fonts or animation come back looking the way a human would see them. Device emulation lets you request the mobile, tablet or desktop rendering of the same page, and the service handles the housekeeping that makes self-hosted headless Chrome miserable: waiting for DOM-ready automatically, hiding cookie banners and ad slots, hiding arbitrary CSS selectors, injecting your own JavaScript before capture, and getting through common anti-bot interstitials. Output formats are PNG, JPEG, WEBP, HTML and high-fidelity PDF. The visual diff endpoint is the part worth evaluating separately: give it two page states and it returns a dedicated diff image plus a numeric mismatch percentage, which turns it into release-review and uptime-monitoring infrastructure rather than just an image generator. The AI analysis endpoint scores overall page quality and returns content summaries and readability scoring. It is reachable from TypeScript, Python and PHP SDKs, a CLI, an n8n node, a Zapier app and a hosted MCP server, so an agent can call it directly.
