Sloyd generates 3D models from a text prompt, a reference image, or a customisable parametric template, and is built around the idea that unlimited iteration matters more than a single perfect generation. The template path is the differentiator: rather than re-prompting and hoping, you start from a parameterised base — a chest, a building, a weapon, a piece of furniture — and pull sliders to control proportions, detail and topology until the asset matches the brief, which gives repeatable, art-directable results that pure text-to-3D tools struggle to hit. The gallery shows the intended range, from Roblox-style characters and stylised fantasy props to kitchen fixtures, vehicles, terrain pieces and models destined for 3D printing. Because output is generated with usable geometry rather than a scan-like mesh, assets are meant to go straight into a game engine or a print queue without a manual retopology pass, which is the step that normally makes generated 3D unusable for production. The pitch is aimed at game developers, indie studios and hobbyists who need volume — a whole environment's worth of props — rather than one hero asset, and who do not want to open Blender to get there. Sloyd is a twelve-person team and one of the longer-running entries in this batch, having come through the first Speedrun cohort, and it ships downloads and integrations rather than living only as a web app.
