SEODesktop is a native desktop client for DataForSEO, and its commercial premise is a straightforward arbitrage that anyone paying an SEO subscription has probably considered and never acted on. DataForSEO sells the same underlying SERP, keyword, backlink and site-audit data that the large SEO suites resell, at per-call prices measured in fractions of a cent, but it ships as raw API endpoints and JSON, which puts it out of reach of the marketers who need it. SEODesktop closes that gap: paste a DataForSEO key once, pick a metric from more than a hundred and twenty endpoints, and get a chart, a table or a clean CSV export with no JSON and no monthly subscription — you pay per call, with the estimated cost of each query shown before you run it and your remaining balance visible in the app. Coverage follows DataForSEO's own: Google, Bing, YouTube, Amazon, App Store, Pinterest, Yandex and Baidu, across keyword ideas, organic rankings, referring domains, rank overview, OnPage and Lighthouse. Two AI features are built in rather than bolted on: an assistant that answers questions about a result set in place, and LLM mention tracking showing how ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity cite a brand, with the model layer being your choice — Claude, OpenAI, or Ollama running fully locally on your own machine with your own key. The app is code-signed, virus-scanned, auto-updating and tracking-free, on Windows 10+ and macOS 13+, built by a solo developer in Weikersheim, Germany.
