Segue solves one narrow, extremely common annoyance: every AI assistant keeps your working state in its own silo. You plan in one, build in another and draft in a third, and each holds real context — the brief, the constraints, the decisions so far — that none of them will hand to the next. Segue lets you save a block of context in one assistant and get a short handle back, then load it by that handle in another. It works over MCP, so Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and any other MCP client are all valid endpoints, and there is a web editor for reading, editing and exporting saved contexts as Markdown. The design commitment that stands out is the data policy, stated explicitly rather than buried: reading, searching, editing, exporting and deleting your saved contexts are free on every plan in every billing state, including after a subscription lapses. If you exceed a cap, only new saves and new shares pause — everything already stored stays readable and exportable, and every share already sent keeps working. Sharing out is the paid feature; reading a context someone shared with you is never paywalled and never requires an account. At $5/month or $48/year for the Pro tier, it is priced as a utility rather than a platform, and the free tier's 20 contexts and 2 connected clients function as the trial.
