About Research Studio

Research Studio is a UX research workspace that takes raw study material and turns it into the standard research artefacts on a shared canvas. Input is deliberately format-agnostic: PDFs, video, audio, Word and Excel documents are all accepted, with support advertised for 8+ formats across 99+ languages, and transcription of audio and video is included rather than billed separately. Once material is loaded, analysis happens by dragging widgets onto the canvas, each of which produces one artefact from the same underlying corpus. A Personas widget extracts detailed personas from the research data. A Jobs to be Done widget categorises and ranks user goals and motivations through drag-and-drop. A Statements widget classifies individual user comments by sentiment. A User Journey widget maps a customer's phases and engagement and separates the team's assumptions from the participant's stated aims. A User Stories widget drafts and analyses stories focused on user needs and outcomes. The canvas model means these artefacts sit side by side and are traceable back to the source material rather than living in separate documents. The stated audience is freelance UX designers, in-house user researchers and research agencies, with the business tier priced per seat and offering a longer team trial. Transcription hours are unlimited on paid plans.
