About Reduck
Reduck lets an AI agent automate websites that have no API, by discovering, running and writing Playwright scripts through an MCP server and a browser extension. The loop is three steps and works from a single prompt: you describe what you want automated, the agent checks whether a script for that site already exists, and if not it explores the site itself and writes one. Scripts are ordinary Playwright-style code using a small builtins vocabulary — type, leftClick, waitFor — plus an aiExtract call that pulls structured data out of a page against a schema you declare, with required fields, so the agent gets typed JSON rather than a wall of DOM. Once written, a script becomes a named, reusable tool the agent can call, which is the important structural difference from one-shot browser agents: the second run does not re-explore the page, it invokes get_product_reviews. The target case the company leads with is legacy portals — government tax portals, supplier back offices, internal systems nobody will build an API for — alongside consumer sites like Amazon and social platforms. Scripts run either in your own browser through the extension or in a cloud browser, so authenticated sessions work without handing over credentials. There is a library of community scripts and ready-made prompts to copy into an agent, and teams can share script repositories with shared cookies and credentials on the higher tiers.
