Polyfile is a search and organisation layer over files scattered across the SaaS apps a small business already uses, and its premise is that the migration step is what kills every other attempt at this problem. It connects to 20+ platforms — Google Drive, Dropbox, email attachments, messaging apps and more — and indexes in place, so nothing moves and no existing folder structure has to be rebuilt. On top of that index it runs the processing that makes scanned and spoken content findable at all: OCR for images and scans, transcription for audio and video, translation, and semantic search that answers natural-language questions rather than matching filenames. Virtual storages let you assemble a working set across sources without duplicating files. The target buyer is stated plainly and is narrower than the usual enterprise-search pitch: agencies, consultants and small businesses, the segment that has files in six places and no IT department to consolidate them. A company workspace, per-user seats and a shared token pool arrive on the Teams tier. Docs, an interactive demo and per-use-case pages are published, and both tiers start with a 7-day free trial that requires no credit card. The vendor frames the whole product around one constraint — that nobody will move six years of files to try a search tool — and every design decision, from in-place indexing to virtual storages, follows from it.
