You answer what data you collect, who uses your site and which third-party tools you run; the document updates live as you type so you can see every clause before you publish; then you copy it as plain text or HTML and paste it wherever it needs to go. The free tier covers the privacy policy itself with US jurisdiction, and the paid upgrade adds a Terms of Service and a Cookie Policy plus the GDPR and CCPA clause sets — the legal bases for processing, data-subject rights covering access, erasure, portability and objection, controller contact details, international transfer clauses and retention periods on the EU side, and right-to-know, right-to-delete, right-to-opt-out-of-sale, non-discrimination and a Do Not Sell statement on the California side. The commercial argument is the whole positioning and the site runs the arithmetic on its own comparison table: Termly charges $14-30 a month and Iubenda $9-25 a month, so over two years for the full document set that is $720 or $600 against a single $19 payment here, and you own the documents outright with no risk of losing access when you stop paying. The stated audiences are indie hackers, freelancers shipping client work, e-commerce sellers and app developers, since both app stores require a policy URL before publication. The site states plainly that it is not a law firm and the documents are not legal advice; complex processing still wants a lawyer.
