onBookmarks is a bookmark manager whose two design commitments are multi-collection membership and client-side encryption. The first fixes the structural flaw in every browser's bookmark bar: a folder tree forces one home per link, so anything belonging to two contexts either gets duplicated or gets lost. Here a bookmark sits in as many collections as it belongs to, with AI suggesting the collections automatically on save, so the filing decision mostly disappears. The second is the privacy claim, and it is a strong version — sensitive bookmarks are encrypted on the device before storage, so the server holds ciphertext and the vendor states it cannot read them. Around that sits the expected surface done properly: a browser extension for Chrome and all major browsers that saves the current page in one click with automatic tagging and no browsing-history access, offline access as a PWA, sync across every device, duplicate detection, a reading list with read/unread state, and import from any browser or service. Spaces separate contexts such as work, personal and per-client. The paid tier is narrow and honest about what it adds: unlimited Spaces, smart collections that auto-organise, full-text and natural-language search across the content of bookmarked pages, and an ask-your-bookmarks answer mode. Unlimited bookmarks, collections and encryption are all on the free plan.
