OG Image Preview solves a small, specific and genuinely annoying problem: you cannot see how an Open Graph image will actually render until the page is deployed and shared, at which point fixing it means redeploy, re-share and hope the cache clears. The tool inverts that order by issuing a real, shareable test URL for an uploaded image — something like ogimagepreview.com/test/abc123 — which can be posted on X, Slack, Discord, LinkedIn, Facebook or iMessage and will unfurl exactly as the real link would. That is meaningfully different from the static mock-up previews most OG tools offer, because it exercises each platform's own scraper rather than simulating it. Alongside the live test link there is an in-browser preview that switches between X, Facebook, LinkedIn and Discord layouts, with editable title and description so copy variants can be compared before committing. Test links are also useful for approval workflows — send one to a teammate or client and let them see the render rather than describing it. Images up to 5 MB are accepted, 1200×630 is the recommended size, and each stored image keeps a permanent shareable URL. A free account signed in with Google or GitHub is required, which the vendor attributes to abuse prevention.
