Mitsuko is a subtitle translator built for the problem that breaks generic machine translation on long-form video: consistency across episodes. It handles SRT, VTT and ASS files, translates into 100+ languages using frontier models including Gemini, Claude, Grok and OpenAI, and processes multiple subtitle files in a single click. The distinguishing component is a Context Extractor that derives context from subtitles, audio or plain text sources and feeds it forward, so character names, honorifics, established terminology and tone stay stable from episode one to the season finale instead of drifting each time a file is translated in isolation. Custom instructions can be attached before a run. The vendor demonstrates the difference rather than asserting it, showing a Japanese line under a stated scene context rendered idiomatically as 'I have had enough of this!' against a literal machine output of 'I cannot endure anymore!'. A separate audio transcriber generates correctly spotted subtitles from audio files with intelligent sentence- and clause-based segmentation and its own custom-instruction field, so timing does not have to be fixed by hand afterwards. Commercially it avoids subscriptions entirely: everything runs on one-time credit packs that stay valid for a full year from purchase, with pricing displayable in USD or IDR.
