Mimiri Notes is an end-to-end encrypted note app that treats encrypted sharing as a first-class feature rather than an enterprise add-on: you can share a single note or a whole branch of the tree with several trusted people, and every change inside that subtree syncs between participants while staying decryptable only by them. Everything is AES-GCM-256 encrypted on your device before it leaves, so neither the vendor, its servers nor your ISP can read it, and the whole codebase is open source under GPLv2 so the security claims are inspectable. The organising model is a tree with no distinction between folders and notes — any note can hold both content and sub-notes, nesting without limit, with search to narrow the tree quickly. Practical hardening goes further than most: a PIN code gates the running app, the window hides itself from screen-sharing software to prevent accidental exposure, passwords are hidden from onlookers and cameras, and the app can auto-lock after a period of disuse. Clients exist for Windows, Linux, macOS, Android, iOS and the web, all syncing in real time with a local offline copy and automatic conflict resolution. The free tier is explicitly not a trial. The company behind it is innonova GmbH, and downloads are published for every supported platform alongside a browser client that needs no install at all.
