Langtail is prompt management aimed at whole product teams rather than only the engineers. Its core surface is a spreadsheet-like grid: prompts are rows, test inputs are columns, and anyone comfortable in a spreadsheet can build, run and compare prompt variants without touching code. Tests can assert with natural-language evaluation, pattern matching, or custom code, so the same suite covers 'does this read correctly' and 'does this always return valid JSON'. From there you can sweep models and parameters to find the combination that actually performs, and the platform logs production interactions so the prompt you ship is measured against real traffic rather than only the examples you thought of. Deployment goes through a typed TypeScript SDK and an OpenAPI spec — you invoke a prompt by name with variables and get a normal chat completion back, which decouples prompt edits from application releases. It works across OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Mistral and other providers.
