Kelviq is a merchant-of-record and usage-billing platform for SaaS and AI companies, combining checkout, real-time metering, entitlements, tax compliance and global payments in one system. The merchant-of-record part is the consequential one: Kelviq becomes the seller of record, taking on tax nexus, VAT and liability rather than leaving a small team to work out where it has registration obligations. On top of that sits flexible pricing model support — flat fee, per seat, usage, volume, credits, one-time payments, overages and hybrid combinations — which is what an AI product needs when it bills tokens, compute units or API calls rather than seats. Real-time metering ingests usage events at scale and feeds dynamic entitlements that gate features, cap usage, enforce credit limits, issue licence keys and deliver digital downloads, so the billing system and the access-control system are the same system. Checkout handles 135+ currencies and local payment methods, and fraud and chargeback protection is included. Pricing is published transparently as a single transaction fee with no monthly platform fee: 2.9% + 40¢ up to $5,000 in total volume, then 3.5% + 40¢ after that, with metering, tax and MoR fees, real-time feature gating and fraud protection all included in that rate.
