About GPT for Work

GPT for Work is a spreadsheet add-on for Excel and Google Sheets built by Talarian that does two different jobs well. The first is agentic assistance inside the sheet: checking and writing formulas, applying formatting, drawing charts, building dashboards and generating insights on demand. The second, and the one it is actually known for, is bulk row-by-row processing — applying a prompt template reliably down hundreds of thousands of rows at up to a thousand answers per minute depending on model and task, for cleaning, deduplication, translation, tagging, enrichment and content generation. That reliability at volume is the technical claim the product rests on, and the vendor publishes a speed benchmark against competing add-ons including Copilot and Claude. There is deliberately no model lock-in: a large choice of AI providers and models is supported, and you can set your own API key or a custom endpoint if you need to route through your own infrastructure. An MCP surface is exposed for agent clients. Two signals stand out as evidence of an established rather than a launched product: 4.8 stars across 4,088 ratings with over seven million installations, and ISO 27001 certification. Support is explicitly human — the vendor advertises 98% CSAT with an average response under an hour outside nights and weekends, and states plainly that there is no chatbot in the loop.
