Flowershow publishes a folder of Markdown as a hosted website, and it is aimed squarely at the Obsidian and digital-garden crowd rather than at general site builders. It is Markdown-native in the strict sense: CommonMark, GitHub-flavoured Markdown, Obsidian wikilinks, Mermaid diagrams and LaTeX math all render without configuration or plugins, which is the specific compatibility bar that determines whether an existing vault can be published without editing every file. Four output shapes are supported from the same source folder — digital gardens with backlinks and an interactive graph view, blogs with themes, searchable wikis with links wired automatically, and docs sites with sidebar navigation and instant full-text search. Content auto-syncs from GitHub, so the publish step is a git push rather than a dashboard action. The ownership argument is the load-bearing one for the audience: files stay plain Markdown, portable and Git-friendly, with no proprietary format and no lock-in. Built-in blocks cover hero sections, content catalogs with pagination, page authors with avatars, comments, newsletter and contact forms, Google Analytics, an edit-this-page button and per-page publish control. The free tier runs on a flowershow.me subdomain; the paid tier is what buys a custom domain, full-text search and branding removal.
