Coding assistants are optimised for writing new code; FixBugs is optimised for the far messier job of taking a production alert and turning it into a validated fix. It ingests alerts, issues, traces, spans and log streams from your monitoring stack, triages them with severity and context, performs root-cause analysis across systems to find where and why the failure happened, reproduces the problem in a controlled environment, and only then generates a code change — shipped with a reproduction test case and regression verification attached, so the fix is evidenced rather than asserted. The vendor's own comparison table is unusually specific about why a general coding agent struggles here: no automated bug-context ingestion, no fix validation, no artifact versioning, and a conversation that moves on and loses the investigation. FixBugs versions every object, lets a triage session be posted to the bug tracker and re-loaded by a different engineer, and pushes PRs with state persisted and updates posted back to the issue. It installs as a VS Code extension or a GitHub App, with native integrations for GitLab and Jira and a beta Prometheus connector. Install the GitHub App and every incoming issue gets analysed automatically, with a summary, severity, actionable insights and full diffs posted into the issue thread before any code is modified. The intended buyer is an SRE or an on-call engineer, not a greenfield developer.
