FireCut is an AI editing plugin that runs inside Adobe Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve rather than as a separate web editor, which is the decision the whole product turns on: the output lands on the editor's existing timeline and stays editable, instead of being exported from somewhere else and reimported. Its core operations are the repetitive ones that consume a working editor's day — one-click and advanced silence cutting, J-cuts, captions in fifty-plus languages, zoom cuts, chapter generation, podcast editing and viral short extraction — plus building a first-cut Resolve timeline automatically from selected media-pool clips. Higher tiers add editing to a script and AI voiceover generation as a paid add-on. There is also a browser-based Shorts product for people who do not run either NLE. The pricing is unusually granular and is published in full rather than behind a demo: separate ladders for Premiere, Resolve, Shorts and a captions-only plan, each with monthly, yearly and in one case weekly billing, and a per-user team plan that includes both NLE plugins. Transcription hours are the main metered resource and scale with tier, from twenty-five to one hundred hours a month. A seven-day free trial is offered. There is a Discord community, published docs, a set of free tools and a custom-plugin service alongside the paid plans.
