About Fazm

Fazm is an open-source native macOS wrapper around the CLI coding agents — Claude Code, ChatGPT Codex and Gemini CLI — that deliberately does not replace the agent loop underneath. It runs the real CLI against your own Claude Pro or Max account, so there is no separate subscription and no proxy in the middle, and the value is entirely in the three terminal problems it removes. The first is persistence: restart a Mac and every active raw CLI session is gone, with no history and no branch state to resume from, whereas Fazm brings every chat window back automatically with its full conversation intact. The second is forking. Branching a raw CLI session means exiting, finding the session ID, resuming on a branch and hoping the right state was copied; in Fazm it is one button that opens a new window carrying the full prior context while the original chat stays untouched, which makes running two approaches side by side cheap enough to actually do. The third is context loss: long CLI sessions get auto-compacted near the context limit and earlier turns are silently summarized away, while Fazm keeps the full history live for the window's lifetime. It supports up to 40 parallel chats and is published on GitHub.
