About drifty

drifty is a context-aware AI time tracker for Mac that answers where the workday actually went without asking you to start a timer or clean up tags afterwards. It records the active app, site, session and window title in three-minute blocks in the background, then uses fast model routes to classify each block as Focus, Neutral or Drift based on what you were doing inside an app rather than merely which app was open — the distinction that makes app-level tracking useless when both real work and distraction happen in a browser. The privacy design is the notable part. There is no screen recording and no saved screenshots; raw history stays on the Mac and only minimal label hints are sent for classification, and you choose where that classification runs. drifty Cloud is managed with no setup at $5 a month; bring-your-own-key routes through your own OpenRouter account at an estimated $4–6 a month depending on usage; or run a local model on the Mac for nothing at all, at a cost of roughly 5–7GB of RAM. The models behind the cloud and BYOK routes are Gemini Flash, DeepSeek V4 Flash and Qwen 3.6 27B. The interface is available in English and Korean, with use-case guides for developers, freelancers and students.
