Describe Music analyses an audio file and returns a structured description of what is in it — genre, mood, instruments, BPM, key and song structure — rather than a transcript or a tag list, which makes it useful for the two very different jobs of cataloguing a library and critiquing a mix. The output has two registers. For listeners and crate diggers it produces a readable characterisation of a track, including comparisons to recognisable reference artists. For producers, DJs and music students it goes further into engineering territory with an overall mix summary that comments on dynamic integrity, sonic character and specific frequency-range problems, phrased as an actionable note — for example flagging low-mid congestion between rhythm guitar and organ. Analyses are saved and revisitable, shareable, and exportable on higher tiers, and there is an MP3-to-MIDI converter alongside the analysis tools plus a free quick-try path that runs on the page without an account. Pricing is credit-based across three tiers aimed respectively at listeners, producers, and studios or labels analysing catalogues at scale, with API access at the top.
