DeepSQL is a self-hostable database agent for Postgres and MySQL that acts as a 24/7 DBA and data engineer. It connects to a read replica inside your own VPC with read-only credentials, indexes your schema, and ingests your slow query logs from pg_stat_statements or the MySQL slow log — clustering thousands of raw queries down to a few dozen fingerprints it can actually reason about. From there it answers BI questions in plain English, recommends indexes, and watches for schema drift, flagging changes that landed recently so nobody has to discover them during an incident. You also teach it your business vocabulary in plain English — what MRR means in your schema, what counts as an active account — so its answers use your definitions rather than guessing at column names. Access is available three ways: a built-in web chat, a CLI for the terminal, and a Slack integration so anyone can ask in a channel. Because DeepSQL also ships an MCP server, you can point Claude, Codex, or Cursor at your instance and let your existing coding agent query the database through it. The whole install is a single command on any Linux box, EC2 instance, or container in your infrastructure, and role-based access, query policies, and audit logs are built in rather than bolted on.
