Conductor is a Mac app for running several coding agents at once, plus a cloud service that gives each of them an isolated sandbox. The local half is free: run multiple agents in parallel against local workspaces, bring your own model subscriptions and keys, and use whichever frontier or open-source model you prefer. The paid half is Conductor Cloud, where each agent gets a Firecracker microVM with your repository and dependencies pre-installed from a snapshot, so a sandbox boots in seconds and an agent can then run for hours without occupying your laptop. That is the real constraint it targets — parallel agents on one machine fight over ports, dependencies and CPU, and long-running tasks pin you to the desk. The product has also gone multiplayer: you share a workspace link, see who is active, follow work you care about, and prompt agents together in real time, which turns agent supervision from a solo activity into something a small team can do over one workspace. Pro adds cloud workspace hours, the Conductor API and a mobile app; Teams adds an admin portal, centralised billing and SSO, though the Teams plan is currently invite-only and routed through a contact form rather than self-serve checkout.
