code-critic.comAbout CodeCritic
CodeCritic is an AI code review service that runs the same analysis in three places — on GitHub pull requests through a GitHub Action, in a web dashboard where code is pasted directly, and across a multi-file workspace — so a team can adopt it without wiring CI first. Findings are grouped and typed rather than delivered as a wall of prose: the vendor's own demo shows a TypeScript pull request scored 78 with ten findings split into four warnings, four security issues, one nit and one suggestion, each anchored to a file and line. Security is the category the product leans on hardest, with example findings covering JWTs decoded without an expiry check, hardcoded API keys in source, SQL built by string concatenation, wildcard CORS origins and auth routes missing rate limiting — the class of mistake the vendor argues linters and hurried human review both miss. Each finding carries an explanation in plain language and a suggested fix that can be applied inline. The platform ships framework-specific guides for React, Next.js and Ruby on Rails, VS Code and Cursor integration, webhooks, a REST API, pre-merge checklists and review policies for gating a rollout. Notably, paid tiers allow pointing the reviewer at your own OpenAI-compatible endpoint or a self-hosted corporate model instead of the vendor's, which matters for teams that cannot send source code to a third party.
