careercraft.ing is a career evidence vault for software engineers, built around the observation that almost everyone knows they should keep a brag document and almost nobody sustains one. Its answer is to move capture to where the work already happens: you tell your coding agent — Claude, Codex, Goose, Raycast, Cursor, VS Code or Pi — what you just did, over MCP, and the tool turns that fresh context into a structured memory. Later it converts those memories into the artefacts that actually get used under pressure: self-review points, promotion packet evidence, resume bullets and manager-ready impact summaries. Two design decisions define the product. The first is ownership: unlike an HR-owned performance system or a passive work tracker, the vault belongs to the engineer, capture is user-triggered rather than ambient, and the record is portable — the product describes itself as career documentation without workplace surveillance. The second is gap analysis: it flags where the record is still thin, so a missing piece of evidence surfaces before calibration or an interview rather than during one. The framing is explicitly about timing — the PR, the migration, the incident, the unblock all get written down while the context is intact, instead of being reconstructed from memory in front of a blank page in review season. A team tier exists but is sold through a contact form rather than self-serve.
