Bemi is an automatic audit trail for PostgreSQL. It connects to an existing database in a few clicks using logical replication, without needing write permissions or schema changes, and captures every insert, update and delete as a durable, queryable change record. The pitch is that most teams eventually need a change history for compliance, debugging or customer support, and end up building it themselves with triggers, shadow tables and application-level hooks that drift out of sync with the schema. Bemi captures changes at the database level instead, so nothing has to be remembered in application code. Where it goes beyond raw change-data-capture is context: an ORM integration enriches each captured change with the application-side facts that make it legible later — which user made the change, from which endpoint, in which request — so an audit row reads as an action rather than a diff. Captured data is stored outside the primary database, which keeps audit volume from bloating production tables. The product is aimed at teams in regulated or support-heavy environments who need to answer 'who changed this record, when, and why' without an engineering project each time. Plans include a 14-day free trial, support and a dedicated Slack channel, and the higher tiers add SOC 2 and HIPAA posture, static-IP connections, custom data residency and advanced permissions.
